I think I've only seen one of them (possibly two). So they're all new to me!

"Brandi Jean Pipkin"

Doesn't that just scream southern kiddie pageant queen?

And has Beyonce really been around that long that a girl that old would be named for her from birth? She's one of the older ones there, so she's maybe 9 or 10?

Aw......Brandi Jean Pipkin didn't make the final cut.

She seems to be fine with it, but Mom Pipkin is in tears. "I don't understaaaand it.......our wow wear was perfect!"

First: "Our" wow wear?

Second: "Wow wear" will never cease to be hysterical.

I have shut off "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and have put on WE...omg please never let me do this to my child.

Destiny's Child was around for a long time, I don't know if it's been 9 or 10 years but it might be.

That mother crying when her daughter lost was just pathetic! The kid took it better
than she did. Good grief!

That's because a lot of these mothers want it more than their children ever will.

If my kids wanted to do pageants I'm sure I would support them...but the crazy stage mom overzealousness is absolute lunacy.

Notice that 95% of the moms are overweight and dress like slobs? What's up with that?

I love the total disappointment and despair that mother just conveyed when saying her daughter has no rhythm so she had to hire a choreographer.

What do you mean the mothers want it? They're just supporting their children.....

Besides, if the moms wanted it they'd be doing the routines in the audience and putting the crowns on their own heads and ..................

never mind!

Is the "wow wear" and "wow factor" a common theme of all the shows?

I cannot believe I didn't know about this show before...this is priceless.

You're welcome.

Wow Wear in the LMP franchise is usually called Pro Am in the other pageants. TLC has Toddlers and Tiaras which is a different circuit and sometimes the contestants overlap. And you can see Little Beauties: The Ultimate Kiddie Queen Showdown on Vh1 tomorrow!

I went along with my friend to the big city to shop for a pageant dress when she entered Matias's mom in a Denver pageant about a million years ago. Matias's mom was six and thought it was all a lark. "Wow" wear is exactly the way my friend and all the salesladies described the experience of searching for the perfect dress. I lobbied heavily for a beautiful blue lacy dress which really made her eyes pop, plus it had the rather fabulous added advantage (IMHO) of costing something like $15 because of a small tear which could have been repaired in about 180 seconds. It wasn't Wow enough for my friend, who ended up with a dress costing five times that amount, a third place in the talent competition (a wow gymnastics/dance routine), but no overall top ten placement.
