Assuming my Heels win later, the next game will be tough for me. I know I'll ultimately cheer for Carolina, but there's a more than small part of me that wants to see Kansas, Missouri and OU make it to the Final 4 after all the ridiculous fawning over the Big East by the CBS commentators.

They have half the Elite Eight, Cal. What are the announcers gonna do? Say they're terrible?

I'm not sure it's ridiculous, our teams are pretty good!

I'm not saying the Big East doesn't deserve praise, but the commentators have been repeatedly pointing out that the Big East may match their record of 3 teams in the Final Four. The Big XII can also match that record this year. I have yet to hear that mentioned on the air.

Of course, now the Jayhawks are trying to ruin it.

If they pull it out, then yes the Big East will have 4 out of the Elite 8, but the Big XII will have 3.

Missouri can beat UConn.

OU can beat UNC.

Kansas can beat Louisville (although not likely).

No, not likely at all. Kansas is probably catching the next flight home. I'm in Indianapolis, where I just got back to the hotel after going to tonight's games at Lucas Oil Stadium. Michigan State has a guy named Lucas on their team, so that might have given them an edge. I'm still not sure what products Lucas Oil makes and where I can buy them, but the stadium is quite nice.

If Louisville can play three more games like they played tonight, the NCAA might as well start engraving the trophy. But anything can still happen...

Louisville looked great, but they were facing very weak opposition.

If UNC plays like they did last night, they are a lock.

Thanks, Buff! We had the neighbors over to watch and shall continue the vigil today.
Well, then
