Make sure your trash cans are anchored and the lids are on tight.

Our hatches are battened, and we have enough dog food to get us through until Tuesday, if it comes to that.

If it's anything like what hit Denver, you're going to have very high winds and blowing snow. :(

That's already happening farther north. The roads are clogged with accidents. In my town, we're still waiting for rain to change over to snow. It will happen before too much longer.

Stay home and stay safe! And post often so we know how you're doing!

At least it's on a weekend so hopefully people will stay off the roads. But I'm sorry it will ruin your weekend!!

Yeesh, you're getting a late snowstorm, too?

The goose who claimed the pond outside our office decided to get busy with nest-building today. I'm surprised she waited so long, with the mild weather we've had recently. But there was that unsuccessful effort two years ago when six inches of snow forced her to abandon her eggs and then start over.

Yep, we're tucked in the for weekend. I've got books to read, basketball to watch, and supplies laid in. #1 Son was planning to come home this weekend, but the base honchos put out the word that anyone who was planning to travel north out of Wichita Falls had their leave cancelled. Ah, well . . .

Stay safe, everybody.

It's storming like crazy here and has been since 5:30AM. No chance of snow thank goodness.
I will be glad when this front moves on through. Supposedly will be sunny tomorrow.

I saw the reds, oranges and yellows on the weather map in your area! It's coming up here tomorrow...but today is looking cloudy and gloomy too. I am very thankful it's not snow...I'll take rain all day and all night, no more snow!!

The snow is 5" deep and still falling. And I mean near white-out, wet, fat flakes falling. herjosie was NOT amused, until I yelled, "Squirrel, Josie!". She yipped once, and bounded out across the yard. When she finally came back to the porch she was soaking wet, tail wagging, and eyes bright. She's now been towel-dried, and is snoozing on her afghan.

The weather map shows that we will likely be receiving show for several more hours. Hot cocoa sounds very appealing right about now!

We're still under severe thunderstorm warnings, the latest one just issued and good until 2PM central.
Last year we had a frost on Easter I think. Everything here is in full bloom, the dogwoods and the
azaleas are just getting to their fullest. A snow would be disastrous, but I don't think it's coming
this far.

Folks are having big problems with their Bradford pear trees, as the leaves are loading up with heavy, wet snow and the trees are then splitting in half. Some areas to the west of us have also received ice, which is really leaving some damage. The trees in the huge yard behind me had just started leafing out, but are really drooping badly.

We managed to avoid the worst of it, and I didn't even have to crank up the White Hot Glare of Righteousness.

Although it rained and rained yesterday, we got only a trace of snow overnight, with a few more lazy snowflakes today. I think I will get to do my laundry this afternoon, after all -- not that I'm particularly excited about that.

Ours is supposed to be rain, which I am happy about.

None of our stuff is blooming yet though. I hope it does soon, my condo will show a lot better when the forsythia bush out front and the pretty pink flowering tree outside my bedroom window are in bloom. Maybe after tomorrow's big rain and some warm weather it will all start to happen.

Just got back from the first day of spring football practice. It's only 75 and there are no clouds. Gonna work on these photos and then I go back to the baseball field for our game against ASU.

That's right. It's supposed to get up to 81. And still no clouds.

ES could not walk to Sprots's house, because he is never coming near Sports's house.
