Come On Down

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Wed Mar 25, 2009 9:21 am

Bob Barker will appear on the April 16 edition of Price Is Right for the first time since his retirement. He is promoting his new book, Priceless Memories (which everyone in the audience will receive), and he will participate in the Showcase Showdown.

It will be good to see him back.

If Drew Carey's demeanor is consistent, this will be nothing of note. See that episodein December where someone got the showdown exactly, and Drew barely noticed.

Wasn't there extenuating circumstances on this? I seem to remember that somebody yelled out that exact number and the contestant went for it. I still think it was very impressive that (1) the TPIR groupie managed to get it all correct, (2) the contestant heard the number correctly, (3) he decided to go for it. That said, I'm sure that Drew felt it was much less of an accomplishment than what the unknowing TV audience thought.
