Nope but my daughter did. She is thinking her house will be ok, but we have to just take the wait and see attitude. With just the snow melt so far she said her back yard is like a swimming pool. Her sump pump has been running 24/7. There is a city golf course in Fargo (Rose Creek) that they have torn up all of the roughs so far and used the dirt for dike building. They may also have to use fairway dirt. That course needed a rebuild anyway. Not one of my favorites to play. That course is in South Fargo and Edgewood (where Jack Nicklaus won a Jaycee tourney back in the day) in North Fargo will also flood (they have water trouble every year anyway). Also the Fargo Country Club will again lose a half a dozen or so holes. Looks like we may not hold the ND Senior event there in August after all.

The flooding/potential flooding as caused Amtrak to use a different route through the state and eliminating 3 stops for at least three weeks. You either get on/off in Fargo or Minot. I would think Fargo may soon be out of the loop also as the downtown area could get hit pretty hard. Not sure what they would do if that happened.

Lots of flooding predicted for our "flat" state. Very unusual year.

I spent all yesterday afternoon/evening shoveling my 3 foot drifts in the driveway. Enough already.

And here I was disappointed that our light spring showers forced me to cancel my tee time today despite the delightful mid 60's temps...

My daughter has not yet been told to evacuate but her bags are packed. I think her home will be ok but it is borderline. She lives in South Fargo and they have been told anything north of 40th ave should be ok, she is on 36th ave. It has and will flood more in the area. It could be pretty bad. The new all time record crest is to hit some time tomorrow. Many smaller towns in the state have already been hit pretty hard. Normally the farmers are starting some of their spring work around this time, it could be a month before they actually get out to the fields this year because of all the snow the state has. We got hit with 11 more inches this week and my piles in the yard are again 4-5 feet. And another storm coming Sunday/Monday.
