Manny has now earned his Ask The Expert lifeline, with today's expert, $500,000 winner (and Bored Buddy) Ogi Ogas.

With 20 seconds left, Manny decides to Ask The Expert.

Meredith: Feeling good about you math?

Ogi: Oh, math--that's something I can do. Better than skateboarding!

Meredith feeds Ogi the question and answers.

Ogi: Uhh, five--is that a choice? Yes. I think it's five, but let me just say it out loud. So, four rows of five stars, that's twenty stars. There's fifty stars total, so fifty minus twenty is thirty. So, thirty divided by six is five, so I'm pretty sure the answer has got to be C: Five. I won't fool around on this one, it's five!

Answer
C: Five ( 18 )

Manny is at least a WE® (What Else) and potentially a WE/WE®. He looks a little old to be a roadie, but maybe it's just the hard life.

The reaction from Meredith and the audience when this came up was amusing.

Too bad Ogi didn't refer to our own SSS.

This is never a good sign - usually when they show the bullpen contestant that means the one in the HS is about to leave.

I knew this because of the discussion here when it happened.

Leipzig --> Germany --> Merkel. Of course it's possible that this is a WWOQ® but I'd have gone for it without hesitation.

Not a Where Else. Saranac is in the Adirondacks, about 20 miles from the Quebec border.

Definitely!

If Ogi spent more time in the Bored, he'd have learned the significance of this question and how important an shout-out would have been!

Yep. I saw that as Manny's kiss of death.

If you know where Leipzig is and which country each of those people lead, it's an easy logical deduction. Doubly so, if you remember that Leipzig is in the former East Germany and that Merkel was born in East Germany.

GW's brother is 53 and sort of a reverse roadie. He stays in one location, and sets up the stages for whatever shows, bands, pageants, etc., come to town. He also often does the lighting. Since he's built like a linebacker (my FIL used to say he was too big for clothes and too small for a harness; BIL's favored garb is overalls), those overhead catwalks must be a lot stronger than they look.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Here's an article about Manny's appearance:

http://www.pressrepublican.com/midday/l ... 03028.html
“I was there because of my mother-in-law,” Medeiros said.

Prisilla Wilson, of Sheffield, Mass., has watched the show with Medeiros and his wife, Bonnie, frequently.

“(Prisilla) is always telling me, ‘You should go on a ‘Millionaire.’ You’d win,’” said Medeiros.

So, he did.

He had been part of the studio audience in October 2007 and had taken the test then.

“It was a 10-minute, 30-question test. I passed, but I guess I failed the interview.”

He went back in May 2008 to take the test again and was approved for the October recording.
