I don't care if the World Baseball Classic counts for nothin

#1 Post by clem21 » Tue Mar 17, 2009 9:10 pm

The USA game tonight was still as exciting and fun to watch as any Yankee playoff game in recent years. Because this is not a team of stars and the only people who are there are the ones who really want to be there, the USA is becoming really enjoyable to follow. The genuine emotion they showed tonight is something you just haven't seen on American "all-star" teams in the past...

I still don't get why we should care, but then again, I've never been a fan of the Olympics either.....

I agree, but it's a small price to pay in order to witness some truly incredible feats of athletic prowess. As for the WBC, clem's observation is dead-on - it's the joy of watching the sport, not the color of the uniforms.

Well- soak this in as much as you can.

With all the injuries there have been this year, I can't see the WBC lasting much longer.
