Barack Obama to Appear on the Tonight Show
It was announced Monday, I believe, that President Barack Obama is scheduled to appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday night, 3/19.
He is the first sitting president with nothing better to do than to appear on a talk show. I'm sure Jay's interview will be hard-hitting, as usual. Someone should tell this guy that the campaign is over.

Being president is hard work. He's already exhausted after six weeks on the job so he needs to get back to what he does best, smiling in front of the camera while adoring fans suck up to him.Estonut wrote:It was announced Monday, I believe, that President Barack Obama is scheduled to appear on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday night, 3/19.

Some folks actually approve of how Obama is handling the job, but they've gotta find some Dem to bash, so I'm getting horrible E-mails about Kerry again.
History Channel had a program about FDR the other night, and even after more than seven decades, enough stuff survived that probably would have sunk his campaign if it had been publicized at the time.

Just outside Indianapolis there's one of these restaurants. I've been tempted to stop there either to or from the gaming convention I attend in Indy every August, but haven't done so yet. Maybe this year.Jeemie wrote:

They have one in New Orleans. Actually, it's Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville but I think the restaurant is called Cheeseburger in Paradise. To the side of the restaurant there's a big giftshop. It's really not that great. Kinda gimmicky. The food was overpriced and not that good when we were there. I know there are prolly better places to eat in Indy.earendel wrote:Just outside Indianapolis there's one of these restaurants. Pretty sure that the restaurant in Nawlins is a Margaritaville Cafe which is something a bit different. Maybe there is both of them there now. The Cheeseburger in Paradise chain is a newish restaurant that was licensed through Buffett but I don't know that he has a direct involvement with it anymore other than licensing the name. He once sued a restaurant in Maui for using the name and won as I recall.Tocqueville3 wrote:They have one in New Orleans. Re: Barack Obama to Appear on the Tonight Show
There's a Margaritaville right at the start of the cruise ship pier in Grand Turk (Turks & Caicos). I was told that the pier and the little shopping village at its start were all built by Carnival. Some tourists get off the cruise ship and spend all day at Margaritaville, ignoring whatever the island has to offer. I would guess the same applies to other cruise ship ports o'call. Then they get home with the impression that every Caribbean port is just like Florida.tanstaafl2 wrote:Pretty sure that the restaurant in Nawlins is a Margaritaville Cafe which is something a bit different.
