They called the wrong state employee from Schenectady, doggone it!
Daniels, 36, is a communications specialist for the state Senate. He brought his wife, Amy, with him to the taping in New York City, as well as a video his 6-year-old daughter, Zoey, had made for him saying that she wanted a pony if he won.
Awwwwwww!

Here's another blurb:

This time it looks for sure - a Clarkson graduate and former Clarkson staffer will be on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" on Monday.
A week ago we reported the same thing, only to be told later that the date had been changed - from March 9 to March 16.
Last fall, Daniels, a trivia buff, was on another nationally-broadcast game show, Jeopardy!, where he came within one question of upsetting the reigning champion.
Hmmmm. I can't find his name listed in the
J! Archive.

That's strange. I wonder who's scamming whom. Who knew that there are obsessive fans with notebooks and internet connections who would actually verify stuff like this?

Here's another article about Kierre Daniels:
http://www.dailygazette.com/news/2009/m ... llionaire/
Kierre Daniels, 36, of Schenectady, a producer for the state Senate Office of Media Relations, said he has wanted to be on the show since it first aired. He went to New York City three of the last four years to audition and either didn’t pass the test or didn’t make it to the contestant pool.
Not a reluctant auditioner, then.
Daniels said his position as a producer for the state Senate’s Office of Media Services has prepared him for the experience in front of the camera.
Daniels puts together various programs for state senators to air on their local public access channels and is the co-host and producer of a 15-minute weekly program called “One New York.”
“Doing those shows helped me be calm and relaxed when I got down there. I didn’t notice the cameras, and I was able to block out the audience and focus on [host] Meredith [Vieira] and the game,” Daniels said.
A state employee What Else?
