Retroactive good luck to trevor_macfee

#1 Post by Bob78164 » Thu Mar 12, 2009 7:38 pm

Our own trevor_macfee will appear Friday, March 13, in the quarterfinal of the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions. Retroactive good luck to him! --Bob

I'm not sure what brand of pastor you are, but retroactive good luck might be too much like predestination, so I'll just wish that you'll be pleased with seeing your performance, win or lose. (Preferably a win.) Larissa looked tough tonight, but I'm not ready to hand her the trophy. I hope you enjoyed meeting and competing against a group of smart, fun contestants as I did a couple years ago on Grand Slam. And I'm sure you'll win more than I did.

I will either be going back and forth between Jeopardy and the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 (where the agita inducing Owlets of Temple face top seed Xavier)...

OR I will tape it because we decided to drive to Atlantic City for the A-10 semifinal doubleheader.

We are still debating. It will be a 4 p.m gametime decision.

It may be a bit of a hike a month after surgery-- 90 minute drive down and back plus a college basketball doubleheader.

The Palm Pilot is all programmed to give me the head's up for the show(s). I hope you did well! I want to see a lot more of those blog entries! When are you posting the one about the actual notification?
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Well trevor if you want me to watch you on Jeopardy!, you better win today. :D Today's show here is preempted by the State Baskeball Tournament.

Thanks for the well-wishes.

If you're interested in the "inside scoop," I just finished updating my blog to include the TOC saga.

I'll update it again after the game tonight.

You can find it at http://pdonjeopardy.blogspot.com/.

"See" ya'll tonight!

I've seen the result on the Jeopardy! board.
Discussion of his result.
It's too bad you didn't pick up the victory, but it looks like you're "currently" sitting second among wild card qualifiers. I hope that the suspense ends after the game airing Monday, with you still holding the second wild card spot. Continued retroactive good luck!

I've seen the result on my television.
Spoiler
Slow start but great comeback, Dave. Good shot at the wild card with that total. Best of backwards-in-time luck!

Spoiler
Nice game, Dave!

I was hoping you'd pull it out! Tough spot for you to be in, wager-wise, for FJ! You ended up nailing it- wished you could have been induced to bet higher!

But you look good, so far, for a wildcard spot! (Seems weird to be saying that, since it already happened!)

Spoiler
Like the others have said, retroactive good luck for that wildcard spot!

The betting in this TOC sure is jarring, for those of us used to the ordinary strategy. I was sorry when I saw your bet, then shocked when I saw Ben's!

congratulations! I'll also add this extraneous text so people won't think the length of the black bar is a giveaway on the spoiler.

I just watched today's show. I didn't get FJ. I thought it was hard.

I hope if Trevor makes the semi-finals, his game airs on Wednesday. The basketball tourney takes over my J! station on Thursday and Friday-so I'll miss the last 2 semi final games. Bleeech!

Congratulations! When does your semifinal air?

I doubt I'll arrive in Kansas City early enough to catch it on Thursday. :(
