Dead or Alive? Rules

Such as they are.

I will post one game per day in December, beginning tomorrow, Dec. 1. I will not promise to post a game on Christmas or New Year's Eve, because I intend to be busy with other things. Each days list will consist of 10 names, and your main task is to simply label that person as Dead or Alive (you may only choose one, no matter what your opinion of, say, Senator Byrd is).

Each day's game will have a unifying theme usually, but not necessarily always, dealing with the types of persons on the list. For instance, one category I decided not to use was "Signers of the Declaration of Independence." (I was really afraid someone would identify one or more of them as being alive.)

Each game will be open until 6 AM the morning after it's posted, with the exception of weekend games, which will be open until the following Tuesday morning. If I have to make an exception to this, I'll be sure to note it in the intro for that day's question.

You get one point for each correct identification of the person's current corporeal status, plus a bonus of five points for the first five people to correctly identify that day's theme. No point deductions for incorrect answers so guess away. Just remember, you only get one shot at DorA status, and only one guess at the theme.

Hope it's fun for everyone!

Go ahead and use it, just keeping the theme secret.

Fair's fair.
