I hate DST

I was just getting used to seeing the sun start to rise about 6:30 which spurred my circadian rhythm into action. Now, with DST in effect the sun doesn't rise until sometime near 7:30. I am normally an early riser but this throws my system out of whack, getting up in the dark again. I feel drowsy and completely not ready for the day's activities. I could, of course, protest in my own way by setting my clocks back but I think that would really screw me up. Grrrrr......

I'm also finding it extremely difficult to get out of bed this week. The clock radio plays for an hour until it turns off automatically. I had drifted back into (half) sleep when I suddenly realized, "Uh oh, the radio's stopped playing!"

Nothing wrong with DST, but moving its starting date up to early March was a mistake.

Having a wedding the weekend DST begins was a BIG mistake. Our whole family has been
dragging ever since. I keep thinking everyday will be better, but so far it hasn't. I've been
going to bed at 10PM, which is hours earlier than normal for me.

I am not a happy camper right now!

I am just glad it got moved off of the first weekend of April for work-related reasons. We need MORE time the first weekend of the month, not less.....

In Boise it doesn't get dark until 10 PM during the peak of the summer thanks to DST.

Move to AZ with the exception of some Native reservations we don't change. I added the caveat so people don't jump on my comment and say "oh not all of AZ"

I love that it is no longer dark at 6:00PM.

It will start being lighter earlier.

I have too many cattle to herd in the morning so I can't sleep in, but I have been crawling back into bed until Steve has to leave and I get Erin all to myself. He's still jet-lagged from Hawaii, so he's been heading out around 10, which is why I've been tardy lately. But not any more refreshed, I must say. The cranium is very foggy still....
