There hasn't been anything in Vegas worth seeing since I kicked off, baby!

Yes, I have been there. It was like a trip down memory lane. Lots of old machines there (25 cents a game now). Some of the games are in real good shape, others, well...... on some of the games the flippers seem really weak ( I guess that happens to all of us though).

I found the link to the home page. It has pictures of a lot of the machines. It's located at Tropicana and Pecos, about 4 miles off the strip.

Thanks! I've read about it, and it's highly rated by the few who rated it on LVA, but I was looking for someone who I "knew" who'd been there.

I love pinball, especially from the late 70's-early 80's. I hope they have a functional Black Hole machine. I'm not very good so the flipper quality won't be as much of an issue as my lousy reflexes.

There is a museum of calliopes and other old noise-making quarter-snatchers in Nevada City, Montana that just fascinated my kids. I usually have so many quarters in my wallet I walk like the Hunchback, so a dinner at Silver Diner is more of an outing than a meal after the kids load up the jukebox.

There was an arcade with all kinds of old games from my youth in Osage Beach when we went there 10 years ago. I coulda stayed there forever....

It took me a few tries to get as good at Out Run as I was back in my days as our bowling alley's Out Run champ.....

When I was a kid, the best friend of my best friend's older brother had a real honest to God Mario Bros. arcade machine in his house. I have no idea how in the hell he got it either since it's not like they were obscenely rich or anything.....

There is a company that makes arcade games just a couple blocks from me. Unfortunately, they never left any laying around outside where they could be brought home.....

I noticed that they had Fireball which was a dorm favorite. And of course someone managed to rig it so we could play for free.

Okay, I had skinny hands and could reach up into the soda machines to retrieve the cans that got stuck on the way down. Mostly they got stuck because someone had already reached in to get the one that was waiting to drop....

When my brother was out a couple weeks ago the kids were playing some online video game and we were reminiscing about our youth, which consisted of going to the Nickelodeon (an arcade) while my mom and dad were still finishing dinner at Furr's Cafeteria.

My machines BITD were Gorgar and Mata Hari. I still have a scar on my palm from when I slapped the plunger on Mata Hari and forgot it had a point on it. Ha!

I also owned my own pinball machine, but I can't remember the name of it. The LED machines were just taking over and it was one of the older models that still had the dials and they were selling it for like 75 bucks. Something to do with poker, I remember there being royal flush cards on the front. I'm going to have to ask my bro if he remembers the name of it. I wish I still had that machine now.

I went to the site that Ray provided and was scrolling down the pictures and spied (ha!) a Mata Hari machine!

I went to the machine list and am going to have to check out all the Mata Hari facts later. No Gorgar, though. Or Charlie's Angels. If Mata and Gorgar were taken I usually played that one and it treated me rather kindly.

From the looks of the styles and number mechanisms I think my machine was probably early 60's! Now I REALLY wish I still had it....... In about another hour my brother will be at lunch and I can call and ask him if he remembers the name.

You must have been posting this while I was typing my message! That is way more modern than mine was, but the name seemed right and I remember mine had the A-10 markers that you had to knock down. So I wonder if it was some earlier version of this machine.

I have a video poker machine from the 80's, and that sucker is HEAVY! There's like a TV inside, and the hopper is solid metal and weighs half a ton itself. My son picked it out as a gift for me, but it's an 8-5 Jacks or Better which I would never play in a real casino. 9-6, or I'm walking.....
