I teared up this morning, then again at lunch

My youngest daughter turned 27 today. After the call I was all weepy. These were the good kind of tears. 27? Wow.

Like every parent is told at some time or another, they grow up quick. They sure do.

Then when I went home for lunch there in the mailbox was a letter from one of my high school classmates wanting to know if this summer or fall works best for our 40th high school reunion. 40 friggin years, are you kidding me?? These were not happy tears. Yikers.

I did not intend to sound bummed. Just makes me pause and say WTF?

LOL - tears X 2 = bummed.

I like WTF much better.

All of my parents kids are in their 50's.

I am not too old for my father to advise me that I eat to fast and I should slow down as he did at lunch today. (he is 84, I am younger than that)

I love it when I hear about stuff like this!

Makes me miss Mom a little, but I'm gonna miss her until the day I die anyway.
