Today is Tuesday. That means it's time for Tuesday Wordplay. You know how it works by now....

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist....

1. Don't have to be so exiting.
Just tryin' to give myself a little bit of fun, yeah.
You always look so invitin'
You ain't as green as you are young

2. People say I should forget
New friend tomorrow
Don't get upset
People say she's doing fine
Mutual friends I see sometime

3. I broke a heart, that's gentle and true
Yes, I broke a heart over someone like you
I'll beg his forgiveness on bended knee
I wouldn't blame him if he said to me

4. Happy days are here again
The time is right for makin' friends
Let's get together, how 'bout a quarter to ten
Come tomorrow, let's all do it again

5. and everyone here, hates everyone here for doing just like they do
it’s best if we all keep this quiet instead
and I couldn’t tell, why everyone here was doing me like they do
but I’m sorry now, and I don’t know how

6. Looking around the house
Hidden behind the window and the door
Searching for signs of life
But there's nobody home

7. Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife.

8. Got a picture of you beside me
Got your lipstick mark still on your coffee cup
Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now

9. City's breaking down on a camel's back.
They just have to go 'cause they don't know wack
So all you fill the streets it's appealing to see
You wont get out the county, 'cos you're bad and free

10. Yo! It's about that time
To bring forth the rhythm and the rhyme
I'm a get mine so get yours
I wanna see sweat comin' out your pores

11. I'm always workin', slavin' every day
Gotta get a break from that same old same old
I need a chance just to get away
If you could hear me think this is what I'd say

12. The cold is biting
Through each and every nerve and fiber,
My broken spirit is frozen to the core.
Don't wanna be here no more

Once again I'm bummed
Too bad the common word wasn't "hurts"...

1. Don't have to be so exiting.
Just tryin' to give myself a little bit of fun, yeah.
You always look so invitin'
You ain't as green as you are young

Hurts So Good, John Cougar

2. People say I should forget
New friend tomorrow
Don't get upset
People say she's doing fine
Mutual friends I see sometime

Good Thing, Fine Young Cannibals

3. I broke a heart, that's gentle and true
Yes, I broke a heart over someone like you
I'll beg his forgiveness on bended knee
I wouldn't blame him if he said to me

You're No Good, Linda Ronstadt and someone else

4. Happy days are here again
The time is right for makin' friends
Let's get together, how 'bout a quarter to ten
Come tomorrow, let's all do it again

Good Times, Chic (If you play Spank the Monkey on CrazyMonkeyGames, this is the song that plays for a high score...)

5. and everyone here, hates everyone here for doing just like they do
it’s best if we all keep this quiet instead
and I couldn’t tell, why everyone here was doing me like they do
but I’m sorry now, and I don’t know how

A Matchbox 20 song I don't know the title of

6. Looking around the house
Hidden behind the window and the door
Searching for signs of life
But there's nobody home

A Better Than Ezra song I don't know the title of....

7. Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife.

A very familiar song but the title that comes to mind is Roundabout which doesn't have the word good in it so I'm clearly way off base here....

8. Got a picture of you beside me
Got your lipstick mark still on your coffee cup
Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now

Nope

9. City's breaking down on a camel's back.
They just have to go 'cause they don't know wack
So all you fill the streets it's appealing to see
You wont get out the county, 'cos you're bad and free

Familiar

10. Yo! It's about that time
To bring forth the rhythm and the rhyme
I'm a get mine so get yours
I wanna see sweat comin' out your pores

It's Good to Be the DJ, by ES and His Groupies. Okay, no clue...

11. I'm always workin', slavin' every day
Gotta get a break from that same old same old
I need a chance just to get away
If you could hear me think this is what I'd say

Nope

12. The cold is biting
Through each and every nerve and fiber,
My broken spirit is frozen to the core.
Don't wanna be here no more

I got a little bit of hope
Like a soap on a rope
Sweeter than sour
But getting thinner by the hour
Falling fast, and I'm running out of gas

Muggin on your sister!
Smart as Bobby Fischer!

Still I couldn't get arrested
Though I got more hooks
Than Madonna got looks
And just like that AC/DC song
Come on baby, shake me all night long

All I want to do
Is stay till early in the morning
(You know I love you baby)
And all I've got to say
Is your love's extra ordinary
You're extra ordinary, baby

Somebody push me through the door
I been sleeping on the floor
Thirty-one flavors, listen to the neighbors
Through the wall
At a debutante ball

Cumba lada vista!
Got a Mona Lisa!

So much for the late rent
Cause your money's spent
And it's cold inside
But just like that Barenaked Ladies' song
I'm hot like wasabi when I'm next to your body

All I want to do
Is stay till early in the morning
(You know I love you baby)
And all I've got to say, yeah
Is your love's extra ordinary
You're extra ordinary, baby

Ain't love such a sweet thing!
Ain't love such a sweet thing!

(Con fuego, baby ...)

All I want to do
Is stay till early in the morning
(You know I love you baby)
And all I've got to say, yeah
Is your love's extra ordinary
You're extra ordinary, baby

Spoiler
1. Don't have to be so exiting.
Just tryin' to give myself a little bit of fun, yeah.
You always look so invitin'
You ain't as green as you are young
HURTS SO GOOD - JOHN COUGAR (BEFORE HE STARTED USING "MELLENCAMP" PROFESSIONALLY)

2. People say I should forget
New friend tomorrow
Don't get upset
People say she's doing fine
Mutual friends I see sometime
GOOD THING - FINE YOUNG CANNIBALS. OH WELL, I HOPED YOU MIGHT BE USING "HURTS" SO I COULD GO ON AN UNHOLY TANGENT OF ALL THE DIFFERENT PEOPLE WHO RECORDED LOVE HURTS. YOU WANT MY (ADMITTEDLY PARTIAL) LIST? I DIDN'T THINK SO.

3. I broke a heart, that's gentle and true
Yes, I broke a heart over someone like you
I'll beg his forgiveness on bended knee
I wouldn't blame him if he said to me
YOU'RE NO GOOD - LINDA RONSTADT

4. Happy days are here again
The time is right for makin' friends
Let's get together, how 'bout a quarter to ten
Come tomorrow, let's all do it again
LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL - SOME DEPRESSION-ERA PERSON I'VE NEVER HEARD OF. OR, MORE LIKELY, THAT I HAVE HEARD OF AND THAT I WILL BE THUMPING MYSELF ON THE MELON FOR NOT THINKING OF

5. and everyone here, hates everyone here for doing just like they do
it’s best if we all keep this quiet instead
and I couldn’t tell, why everyone here was doing me like they do
but I’m sorry now, and I don’t know how

6. Looking around the house
Hidden behind the window and the door
Searching for signs of life
But there's nobody home
THIS IS THAT HORRIBLE BETTER THAN EZRA SONG. I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S CALLED. HOW ABOUT JUST "GOOD"?

7. Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife.
OK. I'M COMPLETELY EMBARRASSED TO KNOW THIS, BUT "YOUR MOVE" AND "ALL GOOD PEOPLE" SHOULD BOTH WORK HERE (EXCEPT FOR THE LATTER BEING THE ONE THAT FITS THE THEME). IT WAS ENVISIONED AS A SUITE WHERE THE FIRST AND THIRD PARTS PRETTY MUCH ONLY HAD THE WORDS "I'VE SEEN ALL GOOD PEOPLE TURN THEIR HEADS EACH DAY SO SATISFIED I'M ON MY WAY" AND THE MIDDLE HAD THE ACTUAL, YOU KNOW, LYRICS. THE MIDDLE PART WAS RELEASED AS A SINGLE SEPARATELY UNDER THE NAME "YOUR MOVE" AND ACTUALLY CHARTED. I REMEMBER BECAUSE WHEN OWNER OF A LONELY HEART WAS CLIMBING THE CHARTS, CASEY KASEM TALKED ABOUT YES' TWO PREVIOUS SONGS THAT HIT THE CHART - YOUR MOVE AND ROUNDABOUT. WHERE THE HELL MY CAR KEYS ARE, I GENERALLY CAN'T REMEMBER, BUT SHIT LIKE THIS...
I DON'T REMEMBER IF THE FIRST AND THIRD PARTS HAD THEIR OWN NAMES OR IF THEY WERE JUST CALLED ALL GOOD PEOPLE 1 AND 2 OR WHATEVER.
ANYWAY, I'LL SAY ALL GOOD PEOPLE BY YES

8. Got a picture of you beside me
Got your lipstick mark still on your coffee cup
Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now
GOOD GOD SQUEEZE ALREADY DID A BETTER SONG ABOUT LIPSTICK MARKS ON COFFEE CUPS BUT WE'RE GOING TO DO THIS ANYWAY - AT LEAST WE'RE BETTER THAN BILLY JOEL

NOTHING BUT A GOOD TIME - POISON

12. The cold is biting
Through each and every nerve and fiber,
My broken spirit is frozen to the core.
Don't wanna be here no more
WOULDN'T IT BE GOOD - NIK KERSHAW. MY FRESHMAN YEAR OF COLLEGE I BECAME FRIENDS WITH A GUY WHO WAS VERY WEIRD. HE OWNED 1,000 GREG MADDUX ROOKIE CARDS (THIS WAS 1986). AND HE OWNED 1,000 GREG SWINDELL ROOKIE CARDS. HE ALSO THOUGHT THIS SONG WAS THE GREATEST SONG EVER RECORDED. I DIDN'T THINK MUCH OF HIM AFTER COLLEGE (WE TALKED, ON AVERAGE, MAYBE ONCE EVERY 5 YEARS), BUT SOMEONE SENT ME THIS SONG ON A MIX TAPE TOWARDS THE END OF 2008 AND IT MADE ME THINK OF HIM. I LOOKED HIM UP AND EMAILED HIM. HE SEEMS TO HAVE REVISED HIS OPINION OF THE SONG. HE ALSO CLAIMS TO BE MAYBE THE ONE PERSON IN THE WORLD WHO'S ACTUALLY MADE A SUCCESSFUL LIVING AS A DAY TRADER OUT OF HIS HOUSE.

Just tryin' to give myself a little bit of fun, yeah.
You always look so invitin'
You ain't as green as you are young

2. People say I should forget
New friend tomorrow
Don't get upset
People say she's doing fine
Mutual friends I see sometime

3. I broke a heart, that's gentle and true
Yes, I broke a heart over someone like you
I'll beg his forgiveness on bended knee
I wouldn't blame him if he said to me

4. Happy days are here again
The time is right for makin' friends
Let's get together, how 'bout a quarter to ten
Come tomorrow, let's all do it again

5. and everyone here, hates everyone here for doing just like they do
it’s best if we all keep this quiet instead
and I couldn’t tell, why everyone here was doing me like they do

6. Looking around the house
Hidden behind the window and the door
Searching for signs of life
But there's nobody home

7. Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life.
Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife.

8. Got a picture of you beside me
Got your lipstick mark still on your coffee cup
Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now

9. City's breaking down on a camel's back.
They just have to go 'cause they don't know wack
So all you fill the streets it's appealing to see

To bring forth the rhythm and the rhyme
I'm a get mine so get yours
I wanna see sweat comin' out your pores
