Only if you watched Cosby...

Too bad she didn't use the double dip as long as she was making a wild-ass guess; it would have increased her odds of getting it right, instead of simply leaving it on the table.

Would she have gone down to $1,000 if she got the double dip wrong, or just back to $25,000?

Just back to $25,000, so she had nothing to lose by trying.

$16K: It's either Pennsylvania or Connecticut. I better ask the new expert, Dr. Tyson.

$50K: I just saw this episode on TV the other day. I think it was the doorbell, but I want to Double Dip to be sure. My second guess would've been the banister.

Even though she's a WE® I'm rooting for her because she's a teacher.

Caroline made Pete's job easier by just giving him the essentials of the question, namely, where is the Wharton School of Business.

It sounded like an Indian word to me, too, and I would have gone with that answer (and not let as much time expire. Caroline later explained that she didn't have a second answer so her Double Dip wouldn't have done any good. I'm surprised she decided to go for it.

Tough question - I don't know the answer (I stopped watching the show after they added Raven and Pam) so it's time for a lifeline. This seems too difficult for the audience but I may as well start there because ATA is unreliable beyond this point. If the audience doesn't come through, I go with the Double Dip and make C and A my final answers. I know that there are at least two episodes in which Cliff wrestles with plumbing issues, so that seems like the first place to start.

Is there any rationale for not using the DD at 50Kwhen it's your only lifeline left and you don't know the answer? :?:

You could always be hoping to save it for a higher level question. That may not be a great idea, if you're really taking a wild guess.

Saving it for a higher level question means risking 25K or more unless two answers can positively be eliminated. The chances of that happening in the upper tier seems too small to justify holding on to the DD while guessing at 50K. In this particular contestant's case, I think she just forgot about it.

Probably. And Meredith didn't remind her about the DD before she said final answer.

Not only did Cosby dance Rashad off of the set, I beleive that he actually danced her out of the studio.

Moreover, that was not part of the script. In the script, there were going to exit via the front door, after he had just fixed the doorbell. However, as they explained it on the "fondly looking back" clip show that I saw on cable, he leaned in to her and said, "I am going to dance you right on out of here." :)
