I'm not sure whether your knowledge is limited to only Beaufighters or the AAF, but do you know where I could find a list of the Hellcat Aces?

By Hellcat (F6F) only, no. Also, are you referring to USN/USMC only? I'm not sure if the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm had any aces in the Hellcat.

But, here's a start:

http://www.history.navy.mil/branches/aces.htm

http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/aces/aces.htm

http://www.acepilots.com/usn_aces.html

http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepage ... fiaces.htm

Best I can do short notice. Hope it's of some use to you.

Thanks, Flybrick, these links were very helpful!

I'm specifically interested in the USN, VF-11 (WWII Sundowners) and these gave me some information that I hadn't found elsewhere.

Thanks again! I've looked at some Barrett (?) Tillman books before, but I've never gotten any, as he doesn't seem to have a lot of detail and specifics. But I might have to take a closer look at them. I didn't even know he had a website.
