I'm in a pretty good web page workshop, but the temperature in the room must be 62 degrees. How can I work on sample pages and learn when my fingers are frozen, and my legs are stiff? I'm so annoyed.
I'm ready to start a fire in the middle of the room.

I hate when that happens. You have my sympathies...do they have a coffee cart? My favorite trick is to get coffee (which I don't drink) and just hold my hands on the cup. It works wonders, for a few minutes at least!

Does the book Fahrenheit 451 ring any bells?

There are no individual thermostats in our entire building. If the conference room with all the north-facing windows is cold, too bad. If my office hits 90 degrees at 4:30 p.m. because of a west-facing window, again too bad. Actually, I like the 90 degree aspect because it happens only in the winter months. It does drive my visitors crazy, though. You don't normally expect to have the sun in your eyes when you visit an office.

I'd put on a hat and gloves.
While sitting there looking cute.

Move the computer under your chair. If that fails, burn the web pages.

I have worn gloves in my office before, it's so cold. It's very hard to type in gloves though. My illegal space heater was recently confiscated...
I'm considering getting a snuggie to work in, then maybe they'd turn up the heat...I already have a blanket that I use on my lap/legs, that people can't see when I'm sitting at my desk.

NewBoss is from Arkansas and snuck in an illegal space heater as well. He hasn't been busted . . . yet.

I bought a thermometer to keep on my desk so now I just send the building manager updates from time to time. I love how it's 72 in here when I get here, then it seems to sense me and AC turns on and it goes down to 66. The cold air blowing is the worst part, I think if it were just 66 I could cope, but 66 with AC blowing is a nightmare.

Agree about the cold air blowing. Last Friday at breakfast, I had to change my seat -- couldn't take the draft. The person who ended up in my first seat never did take his jacket off.
