...so Broadway is back in business.
There were 8 shows that had separate deals with the union, so they stayed open during the strike. The union agreed to work the "Grinch" musical, since that show couldn't re-coup if the strike went very long- and it would be really bad PR to close a Grinch show.
So, we'll be seeing "The Farnsworth Invention" in January. It's a play by Aaron Sorkin about the struggle between David Sarnoff and Philo Farnsworth over the invention of (read: profits from) television.

Not that it means TOO much, but I now live in the teenie, tiny town where Farnsworth had his revelations. We even have a cool museum to honor him, and a big sign off the side of the highway, alerting those traveling that THIS is the birthplace of TV. LOLnitrah55 wrote:...so Broadway is back in business.
