Anyone want to pull up a chair with me and watch?

It was plenty loud enough to wake me up this morning, so I'm glad they're getting this out of the way on a day I don't have to sleep.....

I don't think I can get there in time?

Can you take some pictures to share with us?

Yes.

It is right outside the window in this room (Maybe 20-25 feet or so). With any luck, a piece of debris won't come crashing thorugh it....

The silver flakes have been few and far between since the steel mill idled and laid off a few months ago....

I guess you take the good with the bad....

It wouldn't surprise me if the whoever got the house after the lady there died already did that. Or the city workers when they were over there initially Tuesday...

Of course, the only place around here to sell that stuff is notorious for ripping off its customers. Me and my Dad collected aluminum cans back in the day and know their scale's just a bit off......

About 2 hours before I go to bed. He's still making quite a racket out there scooping the debris up to load in the dumpster, and I doubt it'll all be cleaned up before then...

It's times like this I wonder what ghost would do in this situation.....

Those pictures make me sad.

On the other hand, you have a digital camera? Somehow I imagined you with one of those box Brownies that you hold in front of your stomach and look down into while cranking a knob.

I guess it would have been too much trouble to haul out the glass plates and the silver nitrate, huh?

We had an old box camera when I was a kid, and I used to keep taking it apart and putting it back together. Then my sister took it apart, then put it back together with some pieces left over. I never figured out what the hell she did to it so I could fix it again....
