Son1111 told me about this.
But reading the story brought tears to my eyes.

As a retired BB coach, I am very proud of the visiting coach's actions.

Loving it.

And the fact that the captain volunteered to "take" the free throws, already knowing he was going to tank 'em!ne1410s wrote:As a retired BB coach, I am very proud of the visiting coach's actions.

Why I love sports movies...

The next time someone talks about "kids today", I'd like to hand them a copy of this story.

Ditto here. I read it before coming over, and was going to post it myself. The media should put out more of these good news stories, which I'm sure happen more often than they bother with.christie1111 wrote:Son1111 told me about this.

Made me cry, dammit. When my hub was injured, we were out of town at a BB tournament with our #2 son. The coach was going to scrub the remaining games, but #2 son asked him not to, and the team (including s#2) went on to win the tournament. It helped my son through hell. I love BB, BB teams, their fans, parents, and coaches.
