College student on SyndieBAM Friday

Erik Aurigemma, from North Salem, NY (Where else?) enters the Hot Seat, Friday.

Which leads to...

NORTH SALEM - Erik Aurigemma is known among his friends for his wealth of useless knowledge.

So when a friend challenged the 20-year-old Tufts University student to test his skill on a game show, he tried out for "Who Wants to be a Millionaire."
Another contestant who has to be urged to try out?
Though Aurigemma is studying at Durham University in northern England and can't watch the show on TV, his computer-savvy brothers are trying to set up a computer link so he can watch it live.
Now that's stretching the boundaries of the Where Else!
Aurigemma, who graduated from North Salem High School in 2005, was well prepared for his time in the chair. Every night he and his brothers would watch "Jeopardy!" with their father, Peter, earning a later bedtime with correct answers. The family also threw around trivia questions at dinner, Toni Aurigemma said.
Interesting approach. Now, if the Suchard family tried this, the resulting 3 a.m. bedtimes would probably be considered bad parenting.

Not just "another contestant" but another contestant who eats, drinks and breathes trivia. How could he not have considered trying for this show?

Why doesn't he watch the British version?
