Stopping to marvel over Almach (who is still VERY up to its' old tricks of "here i am! no, i'm here!" with it's C component) I head onward toward Perseus for an old favourite. The NGC891 is a very fine example of an edge-on galaxy. Much like the "Sombrero" in all but size, the NGC891 displays a bulging central core, delightful averted resolution at the tilted edges and a most noticable dark dust lane which runs right through the central galactic core. Splendid little beast...

hermillion actually passed you about 4 weeks ago. One of the drawbacks of the method I use for the rankings on this Bored is that it's rather easy for me to miss a change in the standings... and if I miss it the week it happens, I likely won't catch it until one of the two affected switch places again. I just happened to notice this one last night when wodnering why hermillion was showing up on my database already ahead of you despite the fact that her total was already higher than yours last week....
