If I have the url for a photo found on the internet, how do I post it here - you know, like the topless border guards.

Click on the Img box above the text box and put the url between the brackets.

Just use the Img button above the text box.

If it needs to be spoilerized for our protection, make sure you also use the spoiler box.

Ex. (but your tags won't have the spaces)

[ img ]web address of pic[ /img ]

Thanks!

It worked.

How come some photos showed up and others gave me the microsoft thingie instead of the photo when I previewed?

If you're linking to a pic on the Internet -- right-click on the pic itself. There should be a choice to "copy image location" (NOT just "copy image.) Choose that one and insert between the [ img ] and [ / img ] boxes.

Usually the URL will end in some sort of picture format like .jpg or .gif if you've done it right. But preview to be sure.

I can't imagine you needing to know how to question anything

I did it your way for the Tropicana photos - it worked really good - thanks!
