I don't know about you, but yesterday's LS really pissed me off! It reminded me of all those &^#(*@^ subway rides I had to take to &#$@(* Shea Stadium (Rest In Pieces, you #&@(* dump!) back in the day when they'd actually let me play Major League Baseball. You know the kind of &#@*( lowlifes that ride the subway... people with #@&*ed up hair, diseases that haven't even been discovered yet, and they're all on drugs and or &#@(* welfare! Those kind of freaks really &#@* piss me off to have to associate with, so just to be the pain in the ass that I am, I composed a whole &#@(* LS game with nothing but songs done by people who look like they just stepped off the Number 7 train.

Hopefully after playing this game, you'll be as repulsed as I am that such cretins are allowed on our public transportation, and will contact the INS and CDC to do something about this &@#*&#. In this great country of ours, everyone should be as normal and decent and sane as I am....

1 point for the title, and 1 point for the &#@(*&# lowlife scumbag artist....

1. With auburn hair and tawny eyes.
The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through.
Hypnotize me through

2. in a world full of people
you can lose sight of it all
and the darkness inside you
can make you fell so small

3. And now as I stand
And stare into your eyes
I see safety there
I want surprises

4. I can't stay on your life support,
There's a shortage in the switch
I can't stay on your morphine,
'Cause it's making me itch

5. I ain't one of the crowd
I ain't one of the guys
They just avoid me
They run and they hide

6. Pursue it any further and another thing you'll find
Not only are they deaf and dumb they could be going blind
No one notices
I think i'll dye my hair blue.

7. Well, I don't ever want to feel like I did that day
Take me to the place I love, take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel like I did that day
Take me to the place I love, take me all the way

8. Don't put your head on my shoulder
Sink me in a river of tears
This could be the best place yet
But you must overcome your fears

9. I got a fever ragin' in my heart, you make me shiver and shake
Baby don't stop, take it to the top, eat it like a piece of cake

10. Where can you find pleasure, search the world for treasure,
learn science, technology?
Where can you begin to make your dreams all come true
on the land or on the sea?

11. She has many guises
She'll do what you want her to
Playing dead and sweet submission
Cracks the whip deadpan on cue

I realized something funny when I saw who posted today's game. Chronic Diarrrhea could also be considered a John Rocker, no? I cracked myself up way too much with that one......

1. With auburn hair and tawny eyes.
The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through.
Hypnotize me through

2. in a world full of people
you can lose sight of it all

Not only are they deaf and dumb they could be going blind
No one notices
I think i'll dye my hair blue.

7. Well, I don't ever want to feel like I did that day
Take me to the place I love, take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel like I did that day
Take me to the place I love, take me all the way

Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers

8. Don't put your head on my shoulder
Sink me in a river of tears
This could be the best place yet
But you must overcome your fears

I about had a heart attack when I went to get the lyrics for this game and noticed I had We're Not Gonna Take It on the list. I musta thought I'd saved I Wanna Rock for a future game (There is a future game where it would fit perfectly), but when I noticed I didn't include it in that game, I immediately switched it...

And the reason being, since you quit following baseball in 1986, is there is a connection between Rocker and the song "I Wanna Rock" that I'm wating to see if anyone brings up.....

You'd think I'd know more of these...
1. With auburn hair and tawny eyes.
The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through.
Hypnotize me through

I Ran, Flock of Haircuts. Or Seagulls.

2. in a world full of people
you can lose sight of it all
and the darkness inside you
can make you fell so small

Nope

3. And now as I stand
And stare into your eyes
I see safety there
I want surprises

Nope

4. I can't stay on your life support,
There's a shortage in the switch
I can't stay on your morphine,
'Cause it's making me itch

Something like You're Just Like a Pill, Pink

5. I ain't one of the crowd
I ain't one of the guys
They just avoid me
They run and they hide

Alice Cooper? I think. The only song I know the title of is I'm 18, but I don't think this is it.

6. Pursue it any further and another thing you'll find
Not only are they deaf and dumb they could be going blind
No one notices
I think i'll dye my hair blue.

Familiarish. Probably an 80's group.

7. Well, I don't ever want to feel like I did that day
Take me to the place I love, take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel like I did that day
Take me to the place I love, take me all the way

Red Hot Chili Peppers. Under the Bridge? Underneath the Bridge? Whatever.

8. Don't put your head on my shoulder
Sink me in a river of tears
This could be the best place yet
But you must overcome your fears

Time (Clock in or of the Heart), Culture Club

9. I got a fever ragin' in my heart, you make me shiver and shake
Baby don't stop, take it to the top, eat it like a piece of cake

Probably KISS.

10. Where can you find pleasure, search the world for treasure,
learn science, technology?
Where can you begin to make your dreams all come true
on the land or on the sea?

In the Navy, Village People

11. She has many guises
She'll do what you want her to
Playing dead and sweet submission
Cracks the whip deadpan on cue

Nope

12. Turn the power up
I've waited for so long so i could hear my favorite song so,
Let's go!
Go! go, go, go, go, go!

Had to include this! And take off that pledge pin!

I Wanna Rock, Twisted Sister. And Spongebob. Seriously.

I'm guessing Cyndi Lauper and about half the 80's are up there....

Just as a starter I'd like to tell you a story about my favorite baseball game ever. We were on a school trip to Montreal and keep in mind, this is a Jewish private school so our prim and proper Rabbi was with us. One item on the trip was a Braves-Expos game at Olympic Stadium. Now Olympic Stadium was empty and I mean empty. Our group of 70ish made up like a tenth of the crowd...and we were rowdy. So it starts out badly with the Jumbotron showing the Cameron Diaz panty dance scene from Charlie's Angels not once but twice as the rabbi pretends not to notice. Then the mascot comes up to visit us and because the Rabbi attempted to run away we all made a concentrated effort to get the two together which ended in the mascot's bear-hugging our Rabbi as he tries to get away. A classic photo if there's ever been one. Then the fan of the game moons the crowd on the Jumbotron to our group's delight.
Through all this we've been chanting "Larry, Larry" by all of Chipper Jones' at-bats because that's what good New Yorkers (some Mets fans) do. But for us Yankee fans that wasn't enough. So my friends and I decided to start a chant for John Rocker who was making his comeback from his um...ill-advised comments. The chant began spreading...and spreading...
Soon enough, half of Olympic Stadium was bellowing "Rocker! Rocker!" in an incessant never-ending chant. The players were pointing at us from the bullpen (because everyone could hear since the stadium was empty). One of the guys' parents called because he was watching the game on television and he wanted to know if we were the ones chanting! Apparently Bobby Cox has a sense of humor, because the sparsely used Rocker began warming up in the bullpen in the 7th inning. At this point the stadium went nuts. Every one of the appx. 750 people in Olympic Stadium was yelling "ROCKER! ROCKER! ROCKER!" It was bedlam as the yells echoed off every corner of the ugly-ass dome and our Rabbi was mortified. Then Rocker came in. I'd venture to say that the entire crowd gave him a standing ovation. Even our Rabbi. All from a chant that I started with three of my friends. Best game ever.

A follow-up: About two weeks later the Yankees faced the Expos at home and a bunch of us went to the game. At batting practice Guillermo Mota was signing some autographs. My friend told him that we were at a game in Montreal about two weeks prior and we were chanting a lot. At this point Mota's eyes went wide and he started pointing excitedly:
Mota (with heavy Spanish accent) "YOU! YOU!, Larry, Larry! ROCKER ROCKER ROCKER!! Yeah!" At which point he gave us all high-fives and laughed giddily. This is why I love baseball. Now, finally, on to the songs.

I Wanna Rock - Twisted Sister!!! Okay, now I like We're Not Gonnna Take It better but nothing, and I mean NOTHING is better than the I Wanna Rock music video. Firstly, there's the teacher who sounds scarily like my mom. Then you have him exploding into the ceiling leaving his smoking shoes behind. Then you have him throwing the pin and keeping the grenade in his ear. Then for some reason, he decides it'd be good education to blow the school up. But apparently butterflies are very strong. And after all this, and surviving two explosions, the teacher gets killed by being sprayed with water!! WTF????
Also Dee Snider and Alice Cooper have the awesomest hair.
And when my mom came in to yell at me for playing this song too loudly and she asked me why I was wasting my life I just started hearing I Wanna Rock in my head all the time. And then I just stood there and took the yelling. But of course i was rebelling simply because We're Not Gonna Take It was blasting in my head.....
And you wonder how I got so insane....

I found the box score for that game.

http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes ... 6060.shtml

Apparently, Rocker was closing at the time, who knew? I'd forgotten that the discarded Hideki Irabu started that game. And that the 'Spos lineup included Guerrero, Milton Bradley and Orlando Cabrera.
It says the attendance was 5,102, but it wasn't even close to that. My calculation of 750 is definitely more accurate...

The official attendance recorded since 1993 has been paid attendance, as in number of tickets sold. That includes whatever the pitiful season ticket base was for Les Expos that year, which was certainly not much, but probably a couple thousand....

I remember when I was a kid before they only listed paid attendance, I always loved to guess how many people were at the game. Can't do that anymore....

I Wanna Rock - Twisted Sister (This was the song the Braves used to play as Rocker came in from the bullpen to close out games. After Rocker's controversial interview in SI, Dee Snider pleaded with the Braves to get them to stop playing it, and I thought the way Rocker basically told Snider he could take a flying you know what because he was a wash-up was just hilarious....)

JJC Points:

Fanny gets 2 JJC points for comparing Rocker to Chronic Diarrhea....

Mini gets a JJC point for having the gall to use Spongebob as an artist, even if only secondary....

Pea's answers were funny enough for 3 JJC points...

TBone finally supermaxed! 5 JJC points for a set of brilliant answers!

Clem gets the 5 as well, although hlf of that is for his most excellent baseball story. There's nothing quite as surreal as watching real, live Major League Baseball when the stands are almost completely empty... and the thought that Clem could get in the heads of the players on the field like he does here is purely frightening....

Points:

Marley 2
mntetn 1
Melo 12
Fanny 16+2
mini 14+1
TLITF 18

Pea 0+3

You're kidding, right? One of the funniest moments in the history of Beavis & Butt-Head was when they ripped this music video to shreds.

That wasn't one of the fire episodes was it? I don't recall Peekaboo on B&B, and I watched religiously beginning about a year after it debuted... which was after the banned fire episodes were no longer shown....

The songs till rules though. I wish it got played more often....
