Captain Maddie

Maddie's team captain had to leave quiz bowl practice early, so he had to designate a captain.
He made Maddie captain, which surprised her since she is only a Freshman.
She was disappointed because she didn't get a special captain's hat.

Actually she wants a Captain hat like the one that the Captain from Captain and Tenille wears. She said that she is going to buy one for Matt, the team captain, for Christmas.
By the way, speaking of pirates, she has designated Friday, "Talk like a Penguin day," though I am not quite sure what Penguins say.
