40. Party of Five
39. Spin City
38. Mad About You
37. Picket Fences
36. Dream On
35. The Real World

32. WWTBAM
31. Oz
30. Beverley Hills 90210
29. Star Trek; TNG
28. Designing Women
27. The Practice
26. Beavis and Butt Head
25. Dawson's Creek
24. China Beach
23. In Living Color
22. Once and Again
21. My So-Called Life
20. Twin Peaks
19. Sports Night
18. Melrose Place
17. Murphy Brown

14. Frasier
13. Freaks and Geeks
12. NYPD Blue
11. Law & Order
10. The Sopranos
9. The Larry Sanders Show
8. Homicide: Life on The Streets
7. Roseanne
6. The X Files
5. Friends
4. Buffy, The Vampire Slayer
3. The Simpsons
2. ER
1. Seinfeld
I liked
Mad about You and was sorry to see that go off the air. I think Paul Reiser is a very funny guy. I never missed an episode of
Knot's Landing. I don't think I have seen more than an episode or two of any other show on the list except for WWTBAM and
The Sopranos. And, I have not single a single episode of either #5, #4 or #1. Not that I'm wearing that as a badge of honor. I just was not attracted to those shows.

If you never saw a single episode, I guess you just weren't attracted to the titles.
I thought
Buffy, The Vampire Slayer was an outstanding series, with witty dialog and a clever use of metaphor to express the typical troubles of life in high school/college.

Actually, Marley, it seemed like
Friends was just another ensemble comedy show aimed at the twenty-somethings. Not my cut of tea.
Buffy may have been interesting but Lady G and I often sit down to watch TV together and, yes, the title turned her off. I think Seinfeld is a very funny guy when doing stand-up. I will admit to watching about 10 minutes of one episode but did not find it funny at all and never watched it again. Probably too short a time to make a decent opinion but you know what they say about first impressions.

I didn't watch
Friends, either, so I've no complaint there.

40. Party of Five -- Can't tell you one thing about this.
39. Spin City -- Watched maybe two times.
38. Mad About You -- Never watched
37. Picket Fences -- Watched a couple times.

That's OK Sprotsie Baby, you don't need to turn the TV on when I come over! Just some popcorn and nice long fingernails.....

There will be no popcorn when you come over because you will never come over.
The only fingernails you will ever come in contact with if you ever make it into the state are more aptly titled "claws" -- Yetigirl's, that is . . . or Fanny's, if you swing through in that direction . . .

AOL is stoopid.
Simpsons is stoopid.
Did West Wing not qualify as a 90s show? Best show in the history of TV (Until Mad Men came along).

40. Party of Five -- Nope
39. Spin City -- Nope
38. Mad About You --Nope
37. Picket Fences -- Nope
36. Dream On -- Nope
35. The Real World -- Nope
34. Ally McBeal -- Nope
33. Will & Grace -- Nope
32. WWTBAM -- Finally! Appointment TV for me.
31. Oz -- Nope
30. Beverley Hills 90210 -- This was probably the only show I watched before I had cable.
29. Star Trek; TNG -- Nope
28. Designing Women -- Nope
27. The Practice -- I watched this sporadically
26. Beavis and Butt Head -- Nope
25. Dawson's Creek -- Nope
24. China Beach -- Nope
23. In Living Color -- Loved this. Watched it at my parents' house.
22. Once and Again -- Nope
21. My So-Called Life -- I saw a few episodes. It was good.
20. Twin Peaks -- Nope
19. Sports Night -- Nope
18. Melrose Place -- Nope
17. Murphy Brown -- Maybe saw an episode. Can't remember. Can't stand Candace Bergen.
16. South Park -- I think I've seen bits of episodes. Cracked me up.
15. Northern Exposure -- Might have seen a couple entire episodes.
14. Frasier -- Nope
13. Freaks and Geeks --- Nope
12. NYPD Blue -- Possibly saw an episode or two. Unmemorable, evidently.
11. Law & Order -- This was my show for a long time. Haven't watched in years, though.
10. The Sopranos -- Never saw an entire episode. Steve likes it.
9. The Larry Sanders Show -- Nope
8. Homicide: Life on The Streets -- Nope, even though it had Richard Belzer
7. Roseanne -- Maybe saw two episodes
6. The X Files -- Nope
5. Friends -- Saw an episode that I taped for my sister. Gag.
4. Buffy, The Vampire Slayer -- Nope
3. The Simpsons -- Watched all the time when it first came out. Now I see it sporadically.
2. ER -- Used to watch back in the early years, but Steve ruined it by commenting how unrealistic the medical scenes were. Well, duh--they've only got an hour!
1. Seinfeld -- Saw parts when my mom was living here. Such unlikeable characters, it was unwatchable to me. If they were trying to be annoying, they succeeded admirably.
Wow. I've seen more than a third of them at least in part once. Better than I expected!

Agree on all counts. We have finally started watching our 7th season DVD set. I want to have Sorkin and the other writers pick my lottery numbers. The show's election campaign has way too many eerie similarities to what actually happened last year.

It is interesting that WWTBAM made the '90s list even though it was on only briefly in 1999.
I'm just glad that monstrously overrated Everybody Loves Raymond did not make the list.
