WWTBAM Bored

It's the last Wednesday night of the month, so it's time for the expanded rankings, and as promised, the list has now been expanded to all posters in Bored history with at least 250 posts... the lowest threshold I can go to where I'm positive I'm not leaving anybody out.

As usual, the bold/italics and up/down movement only apply to the regular part of the rankings (now the Top 100), though if I wanted to spend another few hours on it, I could give those designations for the rest of the list since I now track everyone every week.....

Luckily, it looks like I've got a long way to go before I think about cracking the top 30, or anything.....

I guess now is my best time to post, if I want to stay ahead of PSM.

To get a look at how the 250+ Club stands so far as their status on the Bored, it's time to really play with the colors.

The color coding will be as follows:

BB's who have posted within the past 2 weeks will be in the normal black text.

BB's who have registered with the Bored and have posted, but not within the past 2 weeks will be listed in red

BB's who have registered with the Bored, but have not posted on it yet will be listed in orange

BB's who have not registered with the Bored yet will be listed in green

The exception above will be BB's who have not posted since the fall of the PRoG in November 2001. These long lost BB's will be listed in blue

This is great, LB!

The ones that really interest me are the people in orange and the ones in green. The orange people clearly know we're around but haven't yet decided to play and we don't even know if the green people have even heard about the switch. I envision three sorts of green people: (1) those who we couldn't get a hold of and don't know we moved and are wondering whatever happened to the BAM bored, (2) those that know we moved and have decided for one reason or another to be part of our community anymore, and (3) OK, i forgot what my third one was, but I'll chalk that up to early onset Alzheimer's.

How about (3) People who have decided, for one reason or another, to move on with their lives.

GregDVM, for one, was so terribly disappointed with his experience in the Hot Seat that I think he's avoiding any reminders of it. Which includes us.



I know my (3) sounds like a copy of your (2), but the distinction is that these people aren't even paying attention any more, so we don't know if they're aware of our more or not. But probably not.

I know of one green BB who does know about the Bored, because she replied to my mass email I sent out in October. That would be askjues....

I am surprised etaoin remains in the orange. The others aren't really that big of a surprise since they've been in the background the last few years anyway, and the only thing that separates them from some of the ones in red is that they didn't make a token welcome post or two....

Just curious, did she respond saying "No, thanks" or did she say she'd register but never did?

I know that renovator is aware of the new bored but hasn't yet had the time (or maybe inclination) to sign up.
