and I hate to do it here, because I hate school fund-raising, but y'all are my best chance to get pledges from a buncha states, so here it goes...

My daughters' school is having a fund raiser where the kids get paid for running laps. So you might think "How many 1/4 mile laps can elementary age kids run?", but then I'd tell you this is a 1/16 mile track, so you might think, "I'm not falling for that!", and I'd tell you they are limited to 35 laps, so there it is.

The school is pushing to get donors from all 50 states, and this bored is my quick connection to most of them, so I'm here, with hat in hand, asking for money. Not so much for me, but for Annie & Molly. If you are interested, please send me a pm.

Thanks for your support.

I thinks it's a great idea, and if things were better I'd help in a heartbeat.

But with the economy I don't have a lot extra these days.

:(

Saucy, I know a lot of people are hurting financially these days. And I don't want anyone to do without to help my girls' school. I appreciate everyone who read this, and even considered contributing. I know for many BBs, it's just not a good time. I appreciate and understand this. Good thoughts & +~ are always welcome, in any case.

What is the pledge per lap? Or how are they doing it?

There are 2 ways to "participate". They are taking specific amounts per lap (like .25, .50, $1, $2, $10000 ;)), or a flat donation just if the kid steps on the track.
