On-topic article reference about Twitter

#1 Post by MarleysGh0st » Thu Feb 12, 2009 12:35 pm

Some folks have been discussing Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites.

Here's a Personal Tech article about Twitter:

Then one day, I saw Twitter in action.

I was serving on a grant proposal committee, and I watched as a fellow judge asked his Twitter followers if a certain project had been tried before. In 15 seconds, his followers replied with Web links to the information he needed. No e-mail message, phone call or Web site could have achieved the same effect. (It’s only a matter of time before some “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” contestant uses Twitter as one of his lifelines.)
I think the reporter isn't familiar with effect of the PAF time limit when trying to work with large PAF teams!

But some of the other observations about the twitter community sound familiar.

My newspaper staff twittered (or tweeted, is an acceptable AP reference, we just learned), from the night Panthers' game a month ago. It was hugely received.

I joined Twitter yesterday. We set it up for Texian Army news.

It is now officially uncool.
No matter where you go, there you are.
