Do you have to add them to some list for them to be noted on the index page, or will they just show up if you enter them while setting up your account profile?

I put a birthdate in for one of my MM, and it didn't show up on the index page, and the age hasn't changed in the profile, so I'm curious how it works.

There is a place in the profile thing for entering a birthday. Are you sure you entered it right, because it's European bass-ackwards (day first then month)...

And there's a separate list of BB birthdays that has been compiled over the years, which is what I think people refer to. Seems like that profile data isn't noticed unless someone looks for it.
