SSS-I am trying to find a watchable copy (VHS OK) of "Ice Cold in Alex."
DVD's appear to be Brit only.
Also, while I did not check-any info on getting The Barber of Siberia-we had talked about this movie several years ago.
Also-just for the record.
1995 called-"Casino" sucked.
It felt like Raging Bull again-a movie that I also did not like.

I'm somewhat limited in the sites I can access at work, but it doesn't appear as if either of these movies has even been released in Region 1 (US) DVD. This means you would need to have an all-region DVD player in order to watch them. Both films were released on VHS but apparently in the PAL (European) format, not the NTSC (US) format. You might check Ebay or Half (
http://www.half.com, a fixed price used VHS/DVD site run by Ebay) to see if there's a US version available there (I can't access those sites at work). I'll see if I can do a bit more digging from home tonight.
Ironically, Alex was released in Australia along with The Colditz Story, The Cruel Sea and Dambusters as a box set called the British War Collection. I have the Region 1 version of that set, but in the Region 1 set, Alex has been replaced by a couple of other movies (Went the Day Well and The Ship That Died of Shame). I don't know why they did that.
