Why was your marching band on the Grammy's?

I didn't watch the Emmy's. But the USC band is the only marching band with a platinum record, with Fleetwood Mac. Tusk. Maybe that's why they were there.

They were used as special added players backing up Radiohead's live performance. Probably just a subset of the full USC band.

You're probably right. Full band is 300+. The USC band is popular because the band director worked at Disneyland ad the 1984 Olympics.
