Almost a Wii Catastrophe

No, I didn't almost hit my new TV with the remote.

I was playing Beach Sports. The game was Cricket. I was bowling.

It requires an overhead windmill motion.

I smacked the living room light fixture with the remote. Neither the fixture nor the remote is damaged.

Arm and shoulder could feel it while playing. Right now, they feel fine. I'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Yikes!

Glad there was no damage.

I had a similar scare with my Terrible Towel and a ceiling fan.

If SOME people would just follow the clearly printed instructions and ALWAYS use the wrist strap, then these sorts of catastrophes wouldn't happen.

I had the wrist strap on. The remote never left my hand. Our living room ceiling is only 8 feet high.

Okay, then I distinctly remember a warning before you begin any game saying, make sure you're not in range of any object that you might hit or otherwise interfere with while using the Wiimote.

Don't mess with Wii, mister.
