while the whole evolution thing truly offends me, I will sacrifce my personal disgust at it to do more research on this trend.

I am not offended by evolution but I agree, this needs some hands on work.

I don't feel evolution is affecting the human race at this point. There is no natural selection so mutation will continue to occur but none of those mutations will propagate through the species since they do not confer any advantage in producing offspring.

You think so? That's not what I was going for at all. Punctuated equilibrium is still evolution driven by natural selection. I don't think that is happening to humans right now.

You think so? That's not what I was going for at all. Punctuated equilibrium is still evolution driven by natural selection. I don't think that is happening to humans right now.
We would be in an equilibrium phase, as there is no evolutionary pressure now.

Hmmm. I guess I need to read up more on the punctuated equilibrium theory.
