The character of Billy Clyde is dead -- at least, they recovered his body after the bridge explosion that sent Tad off to California with amnesia, later to resurface as Ted Orsini......LOL, long story!

Matthew Cowles, the actor, is very much alive. He's married to Christine Baranski and recently played Cowboy Dan on Life On Mars.

I just read an unconfirmed rumor that Phil Carey (Asa Buchanan from One Life To Live) has died this weekend! He was diagnosed w/ lung cancer several years ago. Fans of All In The Family might also remember Phil from that show. He played Archie's friend, Steve the Football Player. That would be Steve the Gay Football Player, in the episode "Judging Books by Covers."

I remember him well!! Along with: Estelle La Tour, Benny Sago and Donna Beck.... Actually, we were talking about BCT in chat a few weeks ago! IRL, he is married to Christine Baranski, and they have a home here in CT.

Aw, I always liked Estelle (Kathleen Dezina) -- and I thought she was very pretty, especially when not wearing the hooker getup! Off-duty, she generally favored granny dresses, hair in a bun, and sometimes little wire-rim glasses. Just geeky-adorable :)

I found some pix of Estelle and Benny!

Now Donna Beck, OTOH, was the goddamn oldest-looking 18-year-old I've ever seen, at least up until Jesse's new daughter Natalia showed up recently!

I mean, I know Candice Early was around 25 when she started playing Donna, but she looked closer to 35. Always.

Jesse's new-found daughter, Natalia (Shannon Kane) -- supposedly-19-but-looks-30:

LOL -- never seen Friday Night Lights -- I'll take your word for it!

Candice Earley was also in the Broadway production of Hair. Here's a pic:
Image

She's on the far right, in semi-profile, behind the girl in the peasant blouse, sort of staring off into the distance. That pic is from 1972 (Hair's 4th anniversary party) so she was 21 or 22 at the time. I just think she has a very mature-looking face -- and Donna's frumpy hairdo didn't help matters! (see previous pic, with Richard Van Vleet as Dr. Chuck Tyler)
