clearly she meant to say 500,000, not 500,000,000
Her error is not even her fault, as she is a girl.
As everyoone knows, girls cannot use numerical measurements over the number 2.
I will illustrate.
I'm talking to wife of apeboy last week.
A tree fell down in their backyard.
me:Did it come near the house or pool?
ms ape:it came pretty close to the pool fence.
me:how big was it?
ms ape:pretty big.
me:you have some big trees there. How tall was it.Was it 30 ft?60 ft?
ms ape:I dont know
me:How can you not know?!?!Its right outside the window. Was it bigger than a telephone pole?
ms ape:How should I know.We have underground utilities.
sigh

Clem.
Mrs Ape sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

I think she might be smart too - playing the straight man to Beedums.

We don't know that for sure. You know how the far left is prone to extreme scare tactics. If she were any farther left, she would be swimming in the Pacific.

Your tongue should jump from your mouth and go screaming down the hall.

They say women have trouble judging distances because men keep telling them their tiny little 3-inchers are really six inches.
Not our fault.

Such as, "He has WMDs and we know where they are"? Or we have to invade Iraq so that we don't end up fighting a war on American soil? Or to take a more recent example, we have to violate the constitution in order to save the country? --Bob

But your example is now history.
This is the here and now. No excuses, these are the ones in the driver's seat(s).
BTW, Pelosi just suffered a slip of the tongue. Other than a slight smile at the gaffe, it is a nothing event.

So the words of an ex-Vice-President mean something to you?
That'd be like paying attention to Al Gore.
Guess we have a different philosophy...

Is Obama going to require that Congress declare war before continuing or increasing our presence in Afghanistan?
Is he going to respect the sovereignty of Pakistan?
Didn't think so.
