I noticed the added signature in your posts. I apologize if it has been there for some time without me noting.

I want to share with you a passage that has made an impact in my life and frankly, pisses me off at times, due to it's truth in my life.

Part of my putting it in the sig line was to reinforce it for myself. I think it came up because of all this job uncertainty of the past year or so. I was hedging my bets.

Now, when I see a good job opportunity for myself, I apply for it. Before, I was waiting to find out what would happen.

It is reinforced by a Wicked lyric, when Elphaba realizes she has been fooled by the people in power, and must strike out on her own.

It's time to trust my instincts
Close my eyes
and leap

and then later

I'm through accepting limits
'cause someone says they're so
some things I cannot change
but 'til I try, I'll never know

Thank you both for this discussion and signature lines. I'm finding it inspiring as well for a variety of reasons.

Once I give up needing to know how this will work out and how that will work out and just commit myself to it, knowing I have what it takes to deal with whatever gets thrown at me, life kinda starts working.

I never think it will until I know it will out of committing.
