How was the hamster murdered? Was he squashed?

It's about time that Sonny confessed to his heinous crimes!
Oh, wait. This is some other hamster murderer...
And why would what he did be considered murder, when PETA takes similar action and calls it "liberation"?

If Blago can be impeached for having bad hair, Sonny should've gotten the death penalty long before he became a threat to me and my furry friends.....
Mr. Hamster

That Bastid!
All our hammies lived long happy lives, and peacefully passed over the rainbow bridge. Except Cleohamstra. She is still with us. She sleeps a lot, but she is still here and still sweet.

From the musical "Wicked", the song "Wonderful".
A man's called a traitor - or liberator.
A rich man's a thief - or philanthropist.
Is one a crusader - or ruthless invader?
It's all in which label
Is able to persist.
There are precious few at ease
With moral ambiguities,
So we act as though they don't exist.

I've got to go see that, some day.

I think this guy did a bad thing (releasing a pet animal into a park to what he believed would be its death) and then wrote about it thinking it wasn't that bad of thing.
Now that the RSPCA, or at least Ms. Nutbrown, has pointed out the error of his ways, he seems to think that this is some sort of an attack on his freedom to write about what he did. I don't see that at all. Ms. Nutbrown may or may not have really been surprised by his attitude but she spent most of the letter pointing out that he had committed a crime and suggesting better behavior in the future. Yes, there was a threatening tone to the letter but the threat was based on the releasing of the hamster, not on his writing about it. Never once does she suggest that it is a crime to write about releasing a hamster only the actual releasing of it.
Let's say that Mr. Delingpole had confessed to a hit-and-run in a column and had given a reasonable explanation of why he didn't stop. Would he then call it a curtailment of his freedom of speech if people wrote in and said that he could still be arrested for doing that?
In general I think some animal rights activists are loony but not in this case.

I don't know about Ms. Nutbrown's activities, but I do like the ale she makes for Samuel Smith.

Since you can get to it without a plane, yes, you should.
I am looking at a Wednesday trip in June. Drop me a note if you want to come along.

That might be possible, particularly if certain APs are holding auditions, then.
I have a feeling that any vacation plans I make this year will have to be conditional, though.
