Answers & Points - Lyrically Speaking - 2/4/09

People have been ignoring me and walking all over me my entire life. The customers are rude to me, my bosses are mean to me, and the chicks in softlines won't even give me a second look. Heck, even when I got on WWTBAM 6 years ago, I was ridiculed on this very Bored by ghost! Sigh, such is the life of a professional cart wrangler, I guess. You'd think after 10 years of this, they'd at least promote me to bagboy or something....
But there is one person out there who takes pity on me.... good ol' LB! He was kind enough to allow me to write a Lyrically Speaking game for him. Of course, I wasn't sure what kind of songs to use, but then I got the best idea I've had since I learned to stay away from the cart corrals during a thunderstorm. I found this lady's shopping list sitting in the bottom of one of the carts I was bringing back into the store and thought it would be cool to turn each of the items on that list into a song! Hey, I'm a cart pusher, OK, you were expecting maybe E=mc²?
Each of the 15 songs below contains in its title a well known brand name. So in addition to identifying the 15 songs below, you get a bonus point if you can match up each song to the item on the shopping list for which that brand name belongs to. A few notes about the way this game will work:
-Some song titles contain more than one brand name in their titles, which will allow them to be paired with multiple items on the shopping list. While it will be acceptable to use a match that fits even if it wasn't the one LB was thinking of, there is only one way that all 15 items will work together.... and you can't use an item more than once when doing the matching...
-Normally LB allows for players to guess at the matches for songs even if they can't identify the title. But in this game, you MUST get the title of a song correct to be able to match it to an item on the list. No blind guesses this time....
-Spelling is not important on the application I filled out to work here, nor is it important when it comes to identifying the brand names in the titles of these songs. I got hooked on phonics, and so can you!
Is that clear? Well, sorry, I'm not good at explanations. If you don't believe me, ask my boss when he wanted to know why I was 15 minutes late last week....
1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist, and 1 point for each correct match to an item on teh shopping list....
