One of my older brother's was just laid off from GE.

Wife's brother laid off from Yahoo.

Wolves are most definitely baying...

I am sorry that your family is being hit by this recession so soon.

I am worried and frustrated and frightened.

I am asking myself the tough questions about our business, about our life style and our spending, being prepared for what could come our way.

So you show a picture of a shapely buttock with the words "Bite me" * on it and you are only now questioning your life style?

Thanks for the good vibes re them.

*Not that there's anything wrong with that..

Sorry to hear that. We've dodged a bullet and realize there's a lot who haven't.

Hope they find something suitable sooner rather than later.

I've very sorry for both of them and I hope they find suitable employment soon.

Things are tough. My husband owns a construction company - the next job bidding (these
are big, multi-million dollar projects) has twenty-two bidders!!! That's absurd. They've never
had to bid against more than 3 or 4 other companies. You have to take the job for nothing
and it can bankrupt a company sooner rather than later if they are on shaky ground to begin
with.

He's thinking maybe those taking the work cheap won't be bidding against him any more once
they realize you actually have to make money on the work you're doing.

Damn, that sucks.

Hope things fall back into place for them soon.
