It's time for another thrilling and exciting edition of Tuesday Wordplay, where all of the songs have a word in common in their titles. I am already predicting low scores for this one, so I'm doing all I can to pump you up and attempt to prove me wrong....

1 point for the title, 1 point for the artist....

1. Got to keep on dancing
Keep on dancing
Got to keep on dancing
Keep on dancing

2. There's no time to waste, let's get this show on the road
Listen to the music and let your body float
The sooner we begin the longer we've got the groove
Listen to the music and let your body move

3. I wanna squeeze her but I'm way too low
I would be runnin' but my feets too slow
Young man rhythm's got a hold of me too

4. Midnight creeps so slowly into hearts of men
who need more than they get.
Daylight deals a bad man to a woman
who had laid too many bets.

5. I got a girl, she lives on the hill.
She won't do it but her sister will,

6. Well my momma met my daddy down in Alabama They tied the knot so here I am.
Born on the bayou on the Texas Line Loved Louisanana and raised on Jabalaya.
Now before I could walk I had a guitar in my hand by the time I could talk I had my own band,
went on the road when I was eight years old when I turned fifteen I was stealing the show.

7. Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down

8. The captain seemed to understand
Because the next day the cap' went out and drafted a band
And now the company jumps when he plays reveille

9. Girl, to be with you is my fav'rite thing
uh huh
And I can't wait til I see you again
yeah, yeah

10. I've got a good job I work hard for my money
When it's quittin time I hit the door runnin'
I fire up my pickup truck & let the horses run
I go flyin' down that highway to that hide-a-way

11. I took my baby too the pizza parlor
to get a bite to eat
I put some money in the jukebox for her
You know she ate her pizza dancing to the beat

12. Well, he sings to the hills and he sings to the clouds
And he keeps on singin' so big and proud
A now "Hey-ho-a-lina" ("Hey-ho-a-lina")

D'oh!

I was torn between Company B and Company C and was afraid I'd make the wrong choice. And that's more than is in the official title anyway!

I can think all day and not get the ones I'm missing...
1. Got to keep on dancing
Keep on dancing
Got to keep on dancing
Keep on dancing

Boogie Nights, some disco group

2. There's no time to waste, let's get this show on the road
Listen to the music and let your body float
The sooner we begin the longer we've got the groove
Listen to the music and let your body move

Familiar. I'll make this Boogie Wonderland, by Earth Wind and Fire, just in case.

3. I wanna squeeze her but I'm way too low
I would be runnin' but my feets too slow
Young man rhythm's got a hold of me too

Rockin Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu, don't know by whom

4. Midnight creeps so slowly into hearts of men
who need more than they get.
Daylight deals a bad man to a woman
who had laid too many bets.

Familiar. I'll make this Boogie Wonderland by Earth Wind and Fire, also. It's got to be here somewhere....

5. I got a girl, she lives on the hill.
She won't do it but her sister will,

Tube Snake Boogie, ZZ Top

Some country song I won't know

7. Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down
Get down, get down

I'll assume this is Get Up and Boogie, which would be by the repetitive Fly Robin Fly group. I think it The Silver Connection? Something like that.

8. The captain seemed to understand
Because the next day the cap' went out and drafted a band
And now the company jumps when he plays reveille

Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B, Andrews Sisters

9. Girl, to be with you is my fav'rite thing
uh huh
And I can't wait til I see you again
yeah, yeah

Boogie Shoes! KC and the Sunshine Band. This was on a B-side of a 45 of one of their hits. I wanna put on my my my my my boogie shoes. I saw them in concert, for free in a park during a festival. KC lost all his hair.

10. I've got a good job I work hard for my money
When it's quittin time I hit the door runnin'
I fire up my pickup truck & let the horses run
I go flyin' down that highway to that hide-a-way

Boot Scoot Boogie, don't know who sings it. I think it's Brooks and Dunn.

11. I took my baby too the pizza parlor
to get a bite to eat
I put some money in the jukebox for her
You know she ate her pizza dancing to the beat

Boogie Fever, the Sylvers! Hot line hot line, callin on the hot line, for your love for your love. Unless it's not them and I'm mixing groups up....

12. Well, he sings to the hills and he sings to the clouds
And he keeps on singin' so big and proud
A now "Hey-ho-a-lina" ("Hey-ho-a-lina")

JJC Points:

Melo's 2 humor answers were good enough for 2 JJC points...

HSoB cracked me up with Tubesteak Boogie, so I gave her 2 JJC points...

TBone got 2 JJC points, at least one of which was for him mentioning that BR549 is the greatest name for a band ever. Am I missing something? Please note, this is coming from someone who looked at NE1410S for 5 years before ever realizing there was actually a hidden message in his handle... and even then it was only because someone else pointed it out....)

Kroxquo's comment on ZZ Top made me chuckle enough for a JJC point...

ghost (Yes, uncapitalized even though it's beginning a sentence) got 2 JJC points for recognizing and then unrecognizing Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and also because her comments come from so far out of left field they're hysterical sometimes....

Fanny gets 2 JJC points for making me look up Winston O'Boogie, and for making me think Boom Chicka Boom everytime a Johnny Cash song comes on. They played a Cash song on Mecca radio last night, and I was listening for the Boom Chicka Boom.....

Clem gets 3 JJC points, at least one of which is for tapdancing all around Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy without actually realizing it was that song....

Estonut gets a JJC point for his continuing efforts to spell check every lyrics site I use....

OK, I just looked up how long Hee Haw was on the air, because I only remember bits and pieces of it from my pre-MTV youth (i.e. 1984 when we got the wonders of cable), and it says it was on until 1997!?!?!? Really!?!?!?

I never saw enough of Hee Haw to really remember any of the gags. I can barely remember even general stuff about it, so there! :P
