I wasn't actually going to post this, but the coincidence is just too funny!

Here is my 6,666th hit on Where's George, which came in today.....

Notice the serial number!

Is that really the number? I thought they said in the FAQs that they don't put the actual number so people can't register fake hits or something like that.

If it really is, then that is one of those things that I love.

WG masks the sixth, seventh and eighth characterss of the 10 or 11 character serial number. So for Ones, you get to see the first letter and first 4 numbers of the actual serial number. So that bill really started off with 6666....

I got a bunch of fives from the casino one time that had serial numbers starting off with 666 and was quite excited about that. They got a lot of hits on them too....

I was going to spend all my bills on Sunday, but I ended up just spending the five and a one. I can't spend money just to spend money when I don't need anything. I did find a couple more ones, so I need to ENTER and mark them. Is it against the rules to enter and mark if you haven't yet any plans to spend them?

I think I might have written too unobtrusively on the first batch. It makes me feel weird to write on money.

It takes a lot of getting used to spending marked bills. I still feel a bit funny sometimes, but that's because there are always going to be the odd looks from the cashiers.

It doesn't matter how long you hang onto a bill after it's entered. Sometimes it takes months to empty out my stash of fives and ones.... and since I always shuffle and don't do a strict rotation, some bills may take a real long time to make it back out into the world....
