I talk to Sting about people on the bored quite often. I say a name, then I say "You know who that is?"

He almost always says "Refresh me."

When I say your name - he says "The guy who won us $16,000."

Pretty cool, huh?

Very cool.

'Course, the last name could stick in his head for some reason, too.

But... when he found out you have that extra "e', that seemed to not be a good thing.

I don't understand that myself.

I dunno if he knows his Irish history, but it's actually an Irish/Protestant thing over there.

Which is plenty not a good thing, for most of them.

My side is the Protestant side, BTW.

Dad's side is Irish Protestant, and Mom's is French Huguenot.

Explains a lot about my problems with authority, methinks.

One of my ancestors, Jean Fontaine, was a French Huguenot who fled to Dublin and became the leading Protestant minister there. The Irish were more tolerant than the French.
