27-23 is the final score.
Nice shots of Peababe's Football Baby Boy a few seconds ago.
MVP announcement is coming up. Will it be Roethlisberger, Harrison, or Holmes?
After that 100-yd interception return for TD, I'll be surprised if Harrison doesn't get the MVP.

It'll be Holmes, I think.

My normal heart resting heart rate is in the high 40s. I took it when we had less than 60 seconds left in the game. It was 84.

Now that I think about it, Harrison committed that dick move in the fourth quarter that led to the Stillers starting on their own 1-yd line, thereby leading to a safety.
Not exactly MVP material.

It'll probably be Holmes, but still should be Harrison. Without that interception and TD run, the Steelers woulda been toast.

Agreed! All you can hope for is a game that has some drama left in it in the last 2 minutes. Plenty of uncertainty well into the last minute, this one.
'gratz to the Stillers & their legion of fanz...

He's been rode hard and put up wet. I congratulate him on making it into recovery from alcohol addiction. If I recall correctly, he's been sober for more than a year now.

Yep, Holmes wins it.

YAY HOLMES!!!!!!!!!!!
I admit, I wouldn't have given it to Harrison after that lame penalty.
I bet Roethlishamberger was pretty high up in contention.

I bet Harrison was feeling horrible there for a bit.

too bad none of the Steelers gave props to the Cardinals when they went to the mike. that would have been classy.
What a great game.

A nice profitable weekend for us -- we scalped the hottest tickets in town for $200 to the good, and SteelersFan won $150 in pools with a $37 outlay. I lost $2.00 -- I gave a friend the Cards and 6.

I agree that it was a dick move. But if he didn't get that penalty, they would have had the ball on the 2.

I tivo'd the game so I could skip all the commercials. I have one rules-type question. The Steelers kickoff that ended up going through the end zone and was a touchback.
Why wasn't it a safety? It looked like it touched somebody on its way. I thought the rule was that you could only down the ball (or let it go through) for a touchback if your team hadn't already touched the ball outside the end zone.

Congrats to the Steelers and their fans but I gotta ask:
A) How was James Harrison not ejected?
B) How was that last play not reviewed?
Not getting it, but otherwise congratulations it made for a helluva fun game to watch...I gotta get home now....early class tomorrow...

I think Harrison shoulda been ejected too.
It was reviewed -- one of the announcers mentioned it. My guess is, time was so short that some PTB considered the announcement an unnecessary delay.

I doubt it would have been overturned, but there is no excuse for there not being a review of the final Cardinals' offensive play.

SteelersFan isn't an NFL ref, nor does he play one on TV -- he says it doesn't matter. Once it's through the end zone, it's a touchback if it was on the kickoff.

OTOH, maybe they were loath to eject the person who at that point had the play of the game.

The touch was officially a 'muff'. In other words he never had possession. On a kickoff, a muff does not affect status of the ball.
On a punt however, it is a different story.
