Yeah, I know it's afternoon but we've been without power for most of last night and this morning. Fortunately the power didn't go out until after the J! test, so I did get to take it. I even found a way to record it using a capture software that I use at work for screen shots. It has a video feature that I didn't know about until I did some investigating. It's called Snag-It and it did a great job.

I'm at home because not only did we lose power but the area experienced an ice storm on top of the 3" of snow that fell yesterday - then more fell this morning after the ice.

Hope you get warm soon.

That is the worst part of power outages for me. I hate being cold.

Fortunately the house is well-insulated and it only got down to 55. Now that the power's back on the heat is back on as well.

55 is doable and still cold.

When we checked into our hotel room in shepherdsville, ky at 2AM on Monday they had the heat off and the room temp was 56 degrees.

We slept in fleece sweat suits and I know it took the room a good 2 hours to warm up to the low 60s.

A motel in Colorado, once:

Really thin blankets.

We had sleeping bags (albeit not-ready-for-the-arctic ones), so brought them in & used them.

Still very cold. I don't recall what the heat said; felt like it was about 40 F.

Since we were the only people in the motel during the snowstorm, we begged some extra blankets. From all those empty rooms. We did not get them.
