Someone mentioned before that 2008 National College Bowl Champion Trivia Team from the University of Rochester would appear as experts this season. This is the week for them.

...looked like he was going to crap a brick throughout his call. And this on a slam-dunk (or at least what most of us here would consider a slam-dunk)...

That's because they're just experts. We're the Bored- we've got My Big Fat fabulous brain (TM) and all the rest of us!
Hell! If BAM let us be the experts, every contestant would walk away with a million! Our combined brainpower would osmose into the contestants' brains, and they'd win even on the questions they didn't ask us about!

So true.
And I am guessing that there have been any number of PAFs who looked the same way when they took the call, only we never got to see the looks on their faces. I am thinking that this guy looked the way he did because he took what he was about to do seriously. Very seriously. Or maybe he was nervous about being on national TV. Whatever.
But I was a bit surprised that he showed no sign of relaxation even after he nailed it for her. And this really was the type of question for which a College Bowl type would be sent to the electric chair were he to blow it.
Hmm...maybe THAT was why he looked the way he did.

Is it just "one" of the group each day or the entire group each day? If it is the entire group, I think that would be pretty good help.

So cute - the contestant telling the expert You're gonna be great! or some such. Who would have ever guessed that the person in the hot seat would be calming down the expert?

The expert doesn't do a Ogi, then?

They're well represented in the iPhone game, and from what I've heard TPTB were very happy with them. I think it's an inspired choice for Ask the Expert and I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I suspect they will reappear for at least one week at the end of March, as well.
