What a wonderful night

#1 Post by a1mamacat » Sat Jan 24, 2009 12:56 am

My mom and dad, Big J and I, and my brother, SIL, and two nieces had a beautiful evening tonight to celebrate (albeit 2 weeks late due to weather and father butt fall) their 55th wedding anniversary.

Tonight, Big J shared Oysters on the half shell with Grandpa, and lobster tail for the main and shared Cherries Jubilee with Grandma. He thought the flaming of the desert was way cool.

I had several alcohol beverages and it has take me 20 minutes to type this clenaly.

Good thing Dad was paying

We had many laughs and put many good memories in place for years to come.

God Bless Jim and Jean for 55 + years with more to go.

Wow...Congrats to them and hopes for many more!

You just don't see that very much anymore...

There have been far too many sad posts on this Bored lately. It's good to have someone posting some good news for a change.

Congratulations to them and to you!!

Congratulations to your folks. Mine celebrated their 60th last June. And that flaming dessert was the subject of a Final Jeopardy a week and a half ago:

CULINARY HISTORY: This fruit dessert was created to celebrate Queen Victoria's decades on the British throne

Congrats as well to your parents, Trish.

Poor Queen Victoria - all those years on the throne. She must have done a lot of reading.

Congratulations to your parents!

Brave of your Dad to foot the bill when a teenage boy has free reign of the menu!

Mine likes the buffet at my Dad's country Club.

Safer price wise than ala carte. Although I have no idea what they pay per head, but it still must be cheaper than Son1111 at the crab/shrimp area.

Many more years to Jim and Jean!
