PM Questions

Does anyone know:
1) Why I previously got e-mails notifying me that I had received a PM, but did not get one for the last one?
2) Why my responses go into the "Outbox" rather than "Sent Messages"?
3) Is it correct that if my message is in the "Outbox," it HAS NOT gone out to the recipient?
TIA

1) No
2) Because the recipient has not read it yet.
3) See #2.

1. Check your User Control Panel/Edit Global Settings page. Does it have "Notify me on new private messages" checked? It might have been unchecked during the recent upgrade of the Bored software.
2. & 3. Yes, it goes to the Outbox until the recipient reads it, then it'll move to the Sent Messages.

Thanks guys!
I didn't do anything differently upon sending, and thought this behaved like e-mail, in that "Outbox" means ready to go out, but not yet sent.

That's the weird thing. I checked that before I posted my questions, and it is still set to "Yes." I just checked my spam folder in e-mail and didn't find a notification there, either.
