Denver (year before Saint Louis -- how far do you hit a 9-iron? Maybe LB can tell us how far the Edward Jones Dome is from the Mississippi River.)

it's a macraeism for a any short distance just like a long distance would be a 5 dollar cab ride.

Lame geography ignorant question: Isn't St. Louis right on the Mississippi? Why would you need a nine iron? Couldn't you just play the drop?

I looked it up.

The Edward Jones Dome is about 600 yards from the Mississippi River.

But the original question was "What was the last team further than a 9 iron shoot west of the Mississippi to win the Super Bowl?"

I think the answer should be the New York Giants. They were a team further than a 9 iron shoot west of the Mississippi when they won the Super Bowl.

The question doesn't say anything about where the team is from or where they play most of their games.
No matter where you go, there you are.
